Best Western Woodhaven Inn

We stayed for a Club event and was greeted with friendly faces. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant and bar was wonderful. The staff in the restaurant and bar were awesome. Natalie in the bar went above and beyond our first night there as members were ready to socialize after a nap from our long trip to get there. Nat stayed well pass her time to get off to bartend and have chat with us. Overall I would recommend and stay here again!

I just stayed with you guys this weekend. Was upset when I got my email stating my rate. It went up 100 dollars from all my other booked rooms. I'm booked 6 months in advance. So I called and the front desk lady Kati said very nasty also we are very busy so we can raise or rates. When i checked in i had to hook my boat up to electric. The outlets did not work so i called front desk. KATI again said not her problem and not her job to get it fixed so i called the manager i believe his name was Mike cant remember told him everything. Girlfriend came back from breakfast and he the maintenance guy in the room fixing it all. Thank you. Me personally would of fired Kati. Now the maid service can use some help. No reason why we should have to ask them to empty out garbage and give us towels we had to ask for towels. Now the night made is the best. She is always cleaning all common areas and it smells clean and fresh when you walk in. And the restaurant waitress Amy. Don't you ever get rid of her. Best waitress ever. 1 more thing. Can you please put a bench out at door C so when the smokers go out we can sit down instead of standing all the time. Holiday Inn right behind it and same owner has them. Please put 1 back there. All your other staff are great nice people and very helpful. We will be back in 3 weeks for another tournament. See you then. Hopefully they will fix the rate problem from this past weekend. 7/11/2024

Stayed for a couple of days for a meetings I was attending. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great Jessica was server and was great very friendly, attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. Bar was great had Jessica as our Bartender she was again very friendly always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. She has great customer service. I would stay here again

Pros: It was clean, inexpensive on the night I needed it. I live two hours from work so this is a life saver on days I double back. Front desk people are always nice, the motel has been quiet every single time. Parking is good. Coffee maker clean, huge plus for me, not all hotels keep them clean. Fresh sheets and towels. Cons: Affected my sinuses but simple fixes for hotel. I walked in and it was super clean, looked like fairly new carpet, however, it smell like a musty sweaty old man sat in the room for days. Affected my sinus issue. What really pushed my sinuses into panic mode was turning on the air conditioner. It brought on a big headache and stuffy sinuses by morning. Regular filter changes and cleaning would probably help this or the heat/air wall unit OR a deep cleaning removing all the dust from the room. Air purifiers work awesome should they decide to invest in them.

My husband I have been going here for years just get a couple nights away from the kids. We get the Jacuzzi suite and Love it. Staff is friendly, rooms are decent and they have a bar and restaurant so that's nice too. Wish it would get updated a bit but overall we Love this place and never stay anywhere else.

My friend is a trucker, so he came in to Detroit for the weekend. He parked his truck in the back lot of the Best Western Hotel. There was no issues no problems. The room was very clean the only issue I have with it is that their toilet is so low you will be struggling to get up off of it. Otherwise it was a great room.

Building is a little dated and trying to find your way around is a fun challenge. Staff was friendly, and the heat and hot water worked. So we were good.

Very, very nice hotel. I was surprised seeing the pictures, I live locally and had no idea it was here. This place is really nice. I rented a room cause I lost power during another snow storm, this room was reasonable enough, $120/night on Expedia, they do offer discounts but only if you book with them directly. The hotel itself is actually very well maintained and clean. The rooms are nice, pretty big, although my room didn’t have furniture other than the beds, desk and tv stand. One nightstand in between beds but no couch or chairs or anything. Staff at the front desk could’ve been a little nicer, she maybe was having a bad day but I wasn’t greeted and made to feel welcome. No matter, she isn’t staying with me, so I’ll not let her bad attitude ruin my opinion of this place. They have a bar/grill inside the building and although I didn’t eat/drink here, it was a nice space from what I could see. It would be a lot of fun for a date night spot. They also had a couple of desktop computers and a scanner/printer if you should need such a thing. They also have a nice, clean, indoor pool and sauna. Both were in good condition. The location is great, right off 75, so you’re only minutes away from the highway. There’s lots of shopping and eating in this area as well, so if you’re just stopping for the night on your way through to somewhere else, you’ll have a great selection of things to choose from, including grocery stores. Bottom line, I was pleasantly surprised when we got here and saw how well the property is kept up. I saw their housekeeping staff working hard and their hard work definitely shows. Give these housekeepers a raise, cause I’ve been to many similar styled properties that suffered from staffing shortages and the result was a large hotel with dust in every corner. There are a lot of these types of hotels in the Detroit area around the airport. This is the nicest I’ve found at this price point and I would 100% come back here.
